Born from a Mother's Love
Swayam began in 2018 when Priya Sharma — a mother of two — grew frustrated searching for kids' clothes that were both beautiful and breathable in Rajasthan's warm climate. She started stitching small runs of cotton kurtas and frocks from her home workshop.
The name "Swayam" means self-reliant in Sanskrit — chosen because we believe children grow into their truest selves when they feel comfortable and confident in what they wear.
Today, Swayam has grown into a beloved brand across India, shipping handcrafted children's clothing to 500+ cities while staying true to our roots: soft fabrics, joyful prints, and clothes that can keep up with curious kids.
